Most buyers rely on home inspectors to evaluate a home's condition. The inspector's report can:
- provide 3rd party expert documentation to identify issues and negotiate repairs.
- act as a checklist and follow-up tool for a lengthy list of items that need to be completed prior to closing.
- provide info after closing to plan for future repairs and capital items such as HVAC, roof, etc. or manage your maintenance schedule(s)
In general, we recommend always getting an inspection unless the plan is to tear down the existing structure and start new.
